Accounting

An accounting report, showing resource usage/allocation by site and experiment, is produced each month, integrated into a report for the current calendar year.

Reports consist of data on CPU, Disk and Tape. CPU Capacity Metrics are defined here. A working group is currently working on the new metric for sites reporting installed capacity and usage.

Data snapshots are taken on the 8th of the month, sent to WLCG members to submit their comments, then published here about a week later, depending on availability of data.

CERN & Tier-1 sites

CERN and Tier 1 accounting is calculated by combining:

1. Data from the Tier 1 EGEE Accounting portal comprising Norm. Sum CPU and Norm. Sum Elapsed figures
2. The current quarter data from the relevant Resource Planning Table
3. Data requested manually direct from each Tier 1 site.

The accumulated data is then stored and analysed to produce the overall accounting reports below:

2010

• Tier 1 accounting report - January: to be published late February

Tier-2 sites

Tier 2 accounting is calculated from data extractions from the Tier 2 EGEE Accounting Portal to produce the reports below:
